Common questions

The Watch never detects anything.
Most environments are quiet in the 17–22 kHz band. That's expected. To confirm the app works, play a 19 kHz test tone from another device about a metre from your wrist.

Detection fires but I hear nothing.
That is the point. The beacons are above human hearing.

The scan stops on its own.
watchOS caps extended-runtime sessions at roughly one hour. Tap Scan again to start a new session.

Events aren't showing up on the iPhone.
Open the iPhone app once with the Watch nearby. Sync runs over Watch Connectivity and needs both apps to have launched at least once after install.

Privacy

Audio is analysed on-device. Nothing leaves your Watch or iPhone unless you export it yourself.
